I use mRemote daily for VNC/RDP to servers, but don't use citrix so unfortunately can't help you on this one. Have you tried it configured as an external App instead of ICA?
One thing I do on a weekly basis is make a copy of my config file as it has a tendency to screw it up now and again, think it was the previous version tho.
