Well, I can ping it. But when I try to RDP in, it says "this computer can't connect to the remote computer." and I have myself in the "remote desktop" group on the local machine up there, but I can't even get that far. Sorry for the lack of details earlier. As I said in another post, I'm pretty sure I disabled the built-in Windows firewall. and I did NOT install another firewall.

The VNC folks say that the viewer will run on Windows 7, but not the server, at least not the free version. J 2) I would like to have it auto-log on (it's a workstation in a "lab" area where the users are not highly computer literate) at boot up. I know how to do that using TweakUI on XP.
