Don't know the answer, but Microsoft has said they will continue handing out
keys for the RC version, even after they stop allowing downloads. Maybe you
ought to try getting another key???

Do the product keys for the Windows 7 Release Candidate (build 7100) limit
the number of activations possible?

I've got a half-dozen different netbooks here that I'm testing Win7 on, and
I had no problems with the first few. But now I'm stuck on one that simply
will not activate--I get a message saying that the key can't be used. When I
click on the option to see the details, I get "0xC004C008 - The activation
server determined that the specified product key could not be used."

I wasn't aware of any limitations--heck, people have been publishing these
keys on the web (although that's not where I got my key from)...
