I've generally found the BlackBerry's UI to be one of the better-designed handheld UIs out there. It's easily used with one hand, where as Palm, WinCe, and even the iPhone really work better with two (one to hold it, one to do finger motions). This is a huge thing for me; I'm always wanting to get to my handheld when I've got hands full with other things. The exception is the Storm (the touch-screen); it's definitely inferior to the iPhone, and I even prefer the trackball/thumbwheel to the Storm. But then, I prefer a hard keyboard to the iPhone, too. I think this is a personal taste thing; some people like one, some the other. > The desktop redirector should be > packaged up in a stool sample bottle and sent away for testing. The BlackBerry desktop software is absolute crap and always has been. We don't use it. We use a BES and that is all. Using a BlackBerry without a BES is like using Outlook without Exchange. You can do it, but it's really not the same experience. -- Ben ~ Finally, powerful endpoint security that ISN'T a resource hog! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Business/VIPRE-Enterprise/> ~
