We're on 3.2.7s. However it does look like I can specify an interface on
which the DHCP scope can be activated. Cunningly called "Default Route".
Looking at the docs, the Default Route is the internal IP address of the
firewall interface to which the DHCP scope will be applied.

Rab.

Version 3.10 of the device seems like it should be able to do it.

What version are you running?

http://www.gta.com/support/docs3/

You could always set up a Linux box on that network and run DHCP from
there.

Hi Richard many thanks for the reply.

I've had a look and the firewall does have a DHCP server (which is
currently
disabled). However I can't see where you can specify an specific
interface to
allow this to happen.

Unfortunately its an old firewall, no longer supported (GTA Gnatbox
GB-1000)
and I don't think that well known or used.

Rab.

Your firewall might be able to do DHCP only on the interface you want to
have available to WiFi. What kind and model is it?

We are in the process of getting a Cisco Aironet WAP installed (I don't
have
details of the exact model yet). I've been told however the AP does not
have a local DHCP server.

I had planned on giving the AP a completely different IP addressing
structure
from our internal LAN and connect it to an Ethernet port on our
firewall,
thus keeping Wireless traffic away from our internal traffic.

Can anyone tell me how I can allocate IP addresses to wireless clients
through
the AP?

Rab.
