I am working at a location where someone prior to me setup two servers. One
is running W2003 x64 w/ Exchange 2007, the other is W2003 with SQL server
Express and handles file and print.

The first server has a Dell RD1000. Essentially it is a 2.5" SATA drive in a
hot swap cartridge. At the time BE 11d was current.

BE 11 just doesn't work well with the RD1000. It doesn't handle rotation or
open file backup etc. There are lots of annoyed folks on the forum.
Currently one cartridge is installed and just overwritten every night.

There are 200 users on the Exchange server and the store is 30Gb. There is
150 Gb of files on the second server. Business operation is basically 16 x
7.

BE 12 is supposed to be much more friendly with the RD1000 drive. Upgrading
to it is almost expensive as buying new software.

So I was wondering if it makes sense to stay with BE or move on to something
else. Any thoughts appreciated.
