is there a guideline on naming convention, all I can see is a 1-32 char limit.
We use all Procurve equipment

Given the changes we are making tonight, it would be trivial to
organize/rename/document everything as it was never done.

Thanks!

It's really subjective to you needs. We basically assigned ours by location.
Switches, management consoles and hardware, ISCSI, VM Needs, different wireless
SSID's all have their own. But all our switch ports are trunked so I can
assign each port a specific VLAN if need be.

What's the general layout you guys use for setting up network topology? We are
replacing some equipment which gives me the opportunity to undo the setup
someone else did whereby the entire network, switch management and users/data
runs in vlan 1 :)

Just curious how you guys layout your topology and setup ports/vlans for users
with non vlan aware devices.

Thanks!
