Here's what I think about this study:

IE 8 Beats Competition in Microsoft-sponsored Security Tests - Network World
While these results may be fully legit and highlight a real advantage for
IE, eyebrows go up whenever a company being tested is also footing the
bill. NSS Labs could quell such skepticism by saying where it got its list
of malicious URLs, and why it left out exploit sites. The company's report
doesn't include this info, and NSS Labs hasn't yet returned calls.

Also, I use basically the same Firefox profile (using the Mozilla Labs add-on
for Firefox called Weave) on multiple computers, including my WinXP boxes, my
MacBook, and my Linux VMs. Can't do that with Internet Explorer; although you
can come close using online bookmarks management like XMarks and online
password management like LastPass, IE doesn't have add-ons like CopyURL,
NoScript, CustomizeGoogle, and Adblock Plus.
