You should also be aware that Great Plains (more like Great Pains) and
Terminal Server are definitely not the best of friends.

Here I am running GP 10.x and clients access it via TS Web portal or TS
icon on the desktop (Windows 2008 Terminal Server). We have an issue
whereby certain pop-up dialog boxes (I suspect a certain of window)
simply do not appear, but where the pop-up would appear the screen is
sort of translucent and distorted. I can replicate this on all my
terminal servers and test bed servers.

I contacted Microsoft, opened a case, and it was confirmed that other
GP organizations reported similar problems. My case has been escalated
but I have yet to hear a peep from the escalation team. Apparently
Microsoft thinks it is satisfactory to put a disclaimer in their
installation documents about "known" issues when using Terminal Server
web portal and icons. GP 10 has been out for some time, Windows 2008
has been out for some time, but these issues remain.

Microsoft's response to me was to use the traditional remote desktop.
I really do not want to do this, especially in TS 2008. And that's a
cop-out answer.

Funny, I don't have these issues with Citrix. I was trying to save my
organization some money by using TS only. I think that may have been a
mistake.

I have multiple users that Microsoft Great Plains terminal server.
After they login to Great Plains, they will get a prompt where they
would select which company to connect to. On that particular screen, I
have users complaining it flickers nonstop for about a minute or two.
At that point, users cannot do anything until the flickering stops.
This happens to multiple users and I can’t find anything on this. Has
anyone experienced this?
