Eh, yeah, not really what I thinking of. I do have the GPO'd for my
servers already though.

Sort of, it is controlled by HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon | DontDisplayLastUserName

Set to 1 blanks it, otherwise, by default , it displays the last user
who successfully logged on.

It is also exposed by GPO- Computer Configuration\Windows
Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\Security Options | Do not
display last user name in logon screen

That reminds me, isn't there a reg setting someplace that allows you to
set 'Last Login UserID' or something? I swore I did this at my last
job...

Yeah, I know "What's my username again", if it does not come up as
usual, if someone else logged in, helpdesk gets the call!

Yeah... Well in XP, you can use TweakUI, but that's been discontinued
beginning with Vista. And, yes... it does make things a bit less secure,
but I have a couple machines that need to auto-logon due to the users
lack of computer literacy. Both are in "out of the way" areas and
neither user has any special access...

I did not even know that was possible in an AD environment! Makes
network access a bit un-secure!

Anyone been able to figure out how to get Windows 7 (in a Windows Server
2003) Active Directory to auto-logon? I've tried several things
suggested here and things I've found on the web, but nothing works...
still prompts for a username/password.
