Isn't there a setting in IE under Advanced under Security something like
"allow active content to run from files on my computer"?

Subject: Active x on server08

I'm not finding any joy googling this or in the adobe forums and hoping
someone knows how to work around it.

I'm setting up an Adobe Flash Media server, version 3.5.2 on server08.

The install went ok but I can't do anything else.

When I try to bring up the Flash Administrator Console on the server, it
opens IE and I get this error.

You security settings do not allow websites to use ActiveX controls
installed on your computer.

Click here for options only gives "More information" so I can't enable
anything.

I've tried changing ActiveX settings to prompt and enable but no joy.

I can't add the site to the trusted sites list, local intranet or
anything since it is opening a file directly from C drive.

Any relevant suggestions from the group appreciated.
