Normally I connect directly to the ESX host where the VC lives and open
a direct console to it, run the VC ISO local to it and upgrade VC,
haven't had issues doing it that way. Also if your infrastructure is not
large sometimes I rather build a VC from scratch and migrate everything
over to it.

Ok, we upgraded all Hosts to v4 including the Virtual Center, last
weekend, however my VC virtual machine needed some Windows updates that
I applied and re-stated the virtual machine, however it refused to
startup, I had a snapshoot, before upgrade and reverted back to it, So
I'm now running with the old VC, I can't get hold of my consultant,
What's the proper way of upgrading the VC?
