Meraki got some discussion on the isp-wireless list (from back before ISP Planet imploded). In that context, it seemed to be one of these outsourced public wifi schemes. You plug their boxes into your netfeed; they handle all the billing/support/management; they control most everything; they take a very large share of any income. Benefit to you: For near-zero investment, you provide public wifi for potential customers (or whatever), thus making you a more attractive option for the herd. Benefit to them: They get the money. That was about a year ago; I dunno if Meraki has changed since then, or if they had other options all along. -- Ben ~ Finally, powerful endpoint security that ISN'T a resource hog! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Business/VIPRE-Enterprise/> ~
