Subject: smtp capable MFP

Does anyone know of any cheap/economical priced MFP's that support scan
to an email address *without client software* such as the higher end
HP's that allow a smtp server to be configured locally on the printer?

We are planning on using these as fax machines with a fax/email provider
and don't want to use a client pc in the setup. I have found that the
cheapest HP is an OfficeJet Pro 8500 is Hp's cheapest but pricey with
the version that has a decent touch panel. I don't know about other
manufactures and I "tried" calling their various tech lines and most
people are confused with the question, sigh...

Thanks!
