  Probably true.  Maybe he also has a beat-up old desk, in a cube, or
an office with 70s decor.  Is he willing to foot the bill to buy new
everything for the company for him to use?  I'm guessing no.

  Huh?  "Corporate IT" has always been synonymous with slow, boring,
stodgy, etc.  (Because "exciting" doesn't pay the bills.)

  I look forward to that being implemented right after the company
starts letting people do their own electrical wiring, plumbing, and
build outs.  I'm sure our insurance won't have a problem with any of
it, either.

  I suspect this guy has no concept of "responsibility" what-so-ever.
When you're responsible for something, you tend to adopt a proprietary
attitude.
