[Not sure if I sent this already, so apologies if this is a duplicate.] Windows 2008 server running Terminal Server and XenApp, IE 8. When Server Manager attempts to load upon logon, it fails and closes. I cannot open Control Panel, but I can open the utils under Programs --> Administrative Tools (except Server Manager). Cannot load Control Panel and I get a message "Windows cannot access the specified device, file, or path. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the file", and there is a string of numbers/letters in brackets at the top of the pop-up. Vipre does not report issues, Malwarebytes ran and found one thing, cleaned it, rebooted, and is now clean. I notice in the system security logs there are audit failures on a number of files. Suggestions as to corrective action? It's a XenApp server with a few custom apps, so rebuild is last resort.
