I fought with this a whole bunch at one point and after much frustration, I finally discovered that FRS replication wasn't happening on one of our DCs. Might not be your issue, but it sounds awfully familiar to me. It was just hard for me to find at the time as I was still learning WS08 and didn't realize the FRS log was more buried than before, but I'd start there. -Bonnie From: Tom Miller [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, January 26, 2010 5:51 AM To: NT System Admin Issues Subject: GPO preferences not reliable on XP?
Hi Folks: I use GPO preferences to give my users drive mappings to common locations. Too frequently the drive mappings never occur, though. A reboot resolves it, or I can run gpupdate /force and the next logon the mappings come back. Only an issue on XP, most security patches applied, GPO preferences patches applied. Weird. Suggestions? I can use a script but shouldn't need to.
