We just purchased, but haven't used yet, a Dell PowerVault 124T -
comes with a single LTO4 drive and 16 slots. Unfortunately, we asked
for 20 tapes, and they sent 20 LTO3 tapes, which I missed on the
quote. Price was good, but I don't have an opinion one way or the
other yet..

I've used, and been a big fan of, the Spectralogic brand. Good stuff.
Not cheap, but not budget busting either. We're mothballing a T50
that's given us good service with two LTO3 drives and 7 cartridges of
5 slots each, with room for 3 more cartridges.

The only reason we're mothballing the T50 is to preserve our ability
to extract the data in the TSM system - we're shutting that whole
system down and putting it in our vault, and implementing Ultrabac, as
soon as the server for it arrives and we get a full backup cycle done.
