I do indeed mean RemoteApp (my error - not used to the terminalogy), and
we updated to 6.1 - "WindowsXP-KB952155-x86-ENU (RDC6.1 client).exe"

I'll find out if anyone else has similar issues when I am back inthe
office on Thursday. This laptop is certainly a bit goofy at times (same
can probably be said about the user too!)

Cheers,
Matt

When you say published app, do you mean a RemoteApp?

I don't typically have IE distributed that way, but I just did a quick
test and had no problems at all with either 32 bit or 64 bit IE 7. I
haven't yet updated to IE 8 on the terminal server.

Are other users experiencing the same issue? It sounds like there might
be something goofy with your laptop or laptop/monitor combination.

Another possibility is the RDC version. Since you're on XP SP2, did
your IS department independently update the RDClient to the latest
version for XP? I'm pretty sure 6.1 is available as a standalone
download from MS, and I'm pretty sure it is here:

Our IS department have dished out IE8 via a TS2008 publish app
(normally we get to use IE6 - aren't we lucky!), for which I am part of
the trial.

I have noticed a couple of weird things - this is the first time
I have used a published app though, so maybe they are just limitations?

         - I can't move the IE8 window onto my secondary screen - the
mouse point moves over, the IE8 window stays on my primary desktop
(jumping to the opposite side of the screen to which I was dragging it
across)

         - I can't high-light the URL text, so I have to randomly guess
where the cursor is.

Anyone seen/experienced the secondary screen issue before? I
have noticed that Borland's StarTeam which we use (java based) does not
play nicely on the secondary screen either - the scrolling fails to
work. Running on XP sp2 (so cutting edge, we have not rolled out 3
yet!) on an IBM T400. I don't recall having an issue with StarTeam on
my old T41 and a secondary screen, but that was about a year ago when I
used that.

        Thanks,
        Matt
