Hee ~ you guys are too observant. Well, GMT or GMT+1 or GMT+2 as I
commute between London and Cape Town but is only two hours at this time
of year. Haven't a clue how I managed to gain exactly one day!

Well, maybe not that friendly. Ridiculously long passphrases won't help here.
Beware of housekeepers bearing [hidden] gifts:

Having pointed that out, I do recommend and use Truecrypt extensively myself
(not with whole-disk encryption however) and, I suppose, this is simply one of
those social engineering warnings.

Probable? Possible, absolutely. I've gone all over the place with a

Truecrypt is your friend. Encrypt the whole volume with a ridiculously
long passphrase and be done with it. Who cares if they copy it at that
point.

I know you said there isn't any, but are you really truly *SURE*
there isn't any patient or other confidential data on this machine?
I would include hashes of domain credentials in that category.

If there is, be aware that all computers are subject to search and
probable copying of data at the border.

Other than that, I don't see any real issues.

Do any of you have any good information on reasons that I can give
that it wouldn t be a good idea? There should not be any data on
the system, as he will be using Xen to get access to all of our
systems using domain credentials, so data theft is not a big
concern in this particular case.
