Dell wanted KACE primarily for their virtualization components. We'll see what happens here. The very next day the after acquisition was announced Dell was quick to release info about their integration with System Center products. I suspect someone was caught off-guard at Dell about the acquisition and damage control mode was in full bloom - not just publicly but also internally.
Ahhh...don't you love industry drama. BTW: This also means that Dell owns AppDeploy.com. -----Original Message----- From: Kurt Buff [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, February 17, 2010 5:20 PM To: NT System Admin Issues Subject: Dell Just Bought Kace Discussion warranted, I presume. Can you customise software installs? In particular, I'd like to customise FF and Adobe Reader installs - turn of javascript in Reader, and add in NTLM auth and a few other things that we do manually here with FF.
