Afternoon all

I have just upgraded to VSphere 4 and upgraded the virtual hardware on all
my guests. I have now noticed that the hard disk and NIC are both showing as
removable devices available for users to eject on my Windows 7 VMWare View
VDI machines. Luckily the hard disk can't be, as it is in use, but the NIC
can - and once removed it doesn't come back on reset. It has to be re-added
as a device.

Does anyone know of a way to either a) disable this behaviour in VMWare, or
b) hide the "Safely remove hardware" icon from the system tray for users?
I'd probably prefer option b), especially if it could be done via GPO. I
can't just hide the notification area because I need it for the Citrix
PNAgent, and if I hide this particular icon it can be restored.

TIA,

JRR
