Is there a pingable DC in the same site? I've seen similar interminably slow logon issues when slow link detection was not disabled in group policy before the network team blocked ICMP at all the switches to thwart a virus outbreak. I can't see how this would affect the Flash update, however. How about the event logs? Anything there? Maybe the system disk going bad?
