Support for us is through DELL as this OS is only available through them
on the Storage servers.

Do you have the luxury of unplugging the network cable and booting
without an active network connection? A call to PSS could be in your
future. It's worth the $250 (or whatever it is now) to get a critical
system up and running. The few times I've worked with them on nutty
issues they've been extremely talented and helpful.

Yes, but this one is the worst. It has taken so far, 5 hours to log out,
and is still waiting.

Exact same behavior on multiple machines, at multiple remote sites?

My issue is not only slow logins. EVERYTHING is slow. Logins are only
the most memorable because I am trying to troubleshoot a production
issue and it takes 2-3 HOURS to log in, but that is only the beginning.

Sorry. It's been a loooong time since I've had to do this. It looks
like the maximum setting is 0x00030002.

Is that the output from debug level logging (DEBUGGER 0x00020000)?

Thanks for that. So here's where it hangs up, but I don't know what it

Have either of you tried enabling userenv logging?

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/221833

It has helped me identify slow logon issues in the past.

I stand corrected. It is also the same for me at the console.

Correct as far as I am concerned.

I'm confused. (But what's new?)

So SK sees the behavior remotely and locally. CF only sees it remotely.

That right?

No, functionality is the same when on site. DNS looks good, ping times

Yes. Also, if you disconnect the RDP session, you can reconnect easily.
If you log off or reboot the server, you better have a lot of time to do
what you want to do.

The behavior is different if you're physically at the console?

I have a Storage Server 2003 and another Server 2003 Standard that takes

Does anyone else have this problem? Remoting to the server using Remote
desktop, the "applying Security Settings" stays on for 45 minutes, then
I can sign on, but the "Applying Computer Settings" box stays up for
another 2-3 hours. Once on the system, a simple thing like a Flash
player upgrade (to get a broadband speed test done) takes over an hour.
This is on several of these servers. Naturally, all are at remote sites.
