How about specifically denying access to the folder to the users that you don't want access to it. If the box is not on the network, you already know the users.
If I remember correctly, Deny over-rides all other access settings. You could also use ABE to hide the folder from those who aren't on the ACL, which is available in Server 2003 and up.
