Ok, so that would technically be a "recommendation", not a "requirement" - as
shown on your website?

David,

We have specified to run the service on the up-to-date versions of each
OS-always on
the fully patched, fully functional, version of the OS. You may run fine on
earlier versions
of Server 2003, but for the sake of stability, we recommend the latest.

Agents will run on practically anything, with the exception of XP without no
service packs
and 2000 earlier than SP4 RU1.

Warm regards,

Question..

http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Business/VIPRE-Enterprise/?id=2008072914141321693
States that the server requirement is: Windows Server 2003 R2+ (32- & 64-bit)

What about the flavors of Windows Server 2003 (not R2)? (32/64bit)?

Thanks

You should have an upgrade button on your console. If you decide you want to
upgrade to the Premium (firewall, etc.), then contact our maintenance dept --

Not yet. I may need to move it to a different server now that they've moved
data to SQL Express. I've already got my patch mgmt s/w using SQL on that
server. <sigh> Not been a good day.

So has anyone took the plunge and upgraded to 4.0 yet? I checked the Vipre
Enterprise forum and there is nothing posted by anyone about this.
