I guess VECD is for virtual versions?

I would think they’re the same, except for the licensing scheme used:

1. VECD for Software Assurance (SA), which is priced at $23/year

2. VECD, which is priced at $110/device/year

Subject: Which version of Windows 7 for Business

Hi Folks,

We are starting to test Windows 7 here for our staff. Looking at my Microsoft
Volume Licensing Page, there are a variety of Windows 7 download options. We
purchase software assurance, and my reseller tells me that means I can use
Enterprise version.

I'm not clear on the differences between the various versions: Windows 7 VECD,
Windows 7 VECD for SA. I think the K and N are language specific.

Suggestions? The various googling doesn't clear up much yet for me being new
to Windows 7.

Tom
