Thanks for the replies and the help. I have tracked down version xp026, and it does appear to be working as I had previously experienced. I was using xp010, which was the newest version I had found (outside of the Robocopy GUI) and I thought that was going to be better than using the older version I had often used (v 1.96 for NT(!)).
