So the new mail store you created was NOT an exchange mail store... Where is the mail coming from and stored between client connections? ISP? In house? Find another way to access that mail store and see if you can clear it from there. Most ISP mail will have some sort of webmail these days.
You need to separate the server from the client and determine where the stuff is. Also, the secure temp folder is hidden and you can't browse to it.
