Connect the dots (aka six degrees of Kevin Bacon) I get an e-mail from McAfee (I am subscribed to their alerts) it contains this line: "Generic Downloader.z has been deemed Low-Profiled due to media attention at http://www.theregister.co.uk/2010/03/11/playstation_emulator_malware/"
That link contains this line: "Emulators offered via Appzkeygen(dot)com, for example, come packing the CodecPack-2GCash-Gen Trojan, Chris Boyd of Sunbelt software warns<http://sunbeltblog.blogspot.com/2010/03/consoles-for-old-games-come-with-new.html>." And that link goes to a Sunbelt blog. That's almost recognition, isn't it? Then again they're saying that link means it has some but not much media attention. Cup half empty or half full, you decide :) David Lum // SYSTEMS ENGINEER NORTHWEST EVALUATION ASSOCIATION (Desk) 971.222.1025 // (Cell) 503.267.9764 ~ Finally, powerful endpoint security that ISN'T a resource hog! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Business/VIPRE-Enterprise/> ~
