Subject: Windows Server 2008 R2 Data Center Per-Proccessor Question

Hello list.

We're looking into buying a copy of Windows Server 2008 R2 Data Center
(that's a mouthful) for a new beefy server we have... but I need
clarification on the licensing...

It says you need to buy a license "per processor". Well, that could mean
several things. In my case, I have a Dual Socket system, each filled
with a Quad Core Xeon, with Hyperthreading so there are two threads per
core.

So, do I need to buy 2, 8, or (*cringe*) 16 licenses? Anybody know where
on Microsoft's licensing website it clearly states this missing detail?

Thanks in advance.
