I'm sure it varies by market. I have had Comcast in my home office for 2 years now and I have had a total of two outages. One was intermittent for a week or two and they sent a guy out who did some work in the alley (my neighbors had problems too) and the other one lasted four or five hours. It typically goes faster than what I pay for and never slower - can't complain.
