I think a classic prank is happening right now in our office. It has actually
been in the planning for over a week.

One guy in another department sent around an order form from a restaurant and
said he won something that will allow the entire office a free lunch. The
order form went around and everyone signed up for something. Today, all that
is being talked about, is this free lunch we are all getting. I am actually
waiting for the bomb to drop around noon!

Did I sign up for a free lunch, sure I did...but I still brought a lunch with
me today. There were too many things that did not make sense when the order
form was being sent around.

Either way, this is pretty funny. I either got burned on a free lunch that was
not, or I got burned because I never thought it would be a free lunch!

That's a funny prank. :)

And, non-destructive. Good combo. I don't do them, but I enjoy hearing about
good ones.

I sent this email this morning to all my users...being April Fool's day and
all...

Hello all...

For those of you that had your computers on overnight, a new security system
has been installed for restarting your computers. This is a hands-free method
that was published some time ago by Microsoft.

To restart your computer, say your name then say RESTART. Direct your voice
towards your computer and it will reboot.

For those who didn't have their computers on overnight, this should work once
you log into the domain this morning.

Please let me know if anyone has problems.

Thanks!

I've heard at least three people trying it and, God as my witness, one of our
east Indian users came up to me and said "I think we have an accent problem,
Bill. It's not working for me!"

Gotta love it!!
