I think you need to tweak a display specifier to make it percolate up. Been a 
while though - don't remember precisely.

It's not going to show up in ADUC outside of the attribute editor tab in 2008+ 
ADUC.

PAS update on the GC will be during normal replication. Don't know what 
rDirectory's problem is - never used it before.

Showing my AD inexperience here...we're trying to leverage the employeeType 
attribute in Active Directory. We've enabled it being replicated to the GC but 
still do not see it in the ADUC snap-in (we enabled it to be viewed there as 
well).

Really what we can't see it is for a 3rd party AD application rDirectory, the 
real reason we enabled it).

Don't GC's update every 8 hours, and we made this change yesterday. What am I 
overlooking?
