Unfortunately, I do not. I don’t have access to it right now. She got it
through her ISP (local phone company) and when she told them about the problem,
they took it back to look into the problem. I do know it had space enough to
install Vipre Home on it when she was having problems, so it obviously had SOME
space on it. J

Do you know what EDITION of Win7 is on the netbook?

Win7 Home Basic is missing quite a few features; and at one point I heard talk
of a netbook version that had even fewer features (but I don’t know if that
happened or not).

Well, she’s the only user on the netbook, and as far as I know, she has admin
privileges, so it shouldn’t be permissions.

Permissions issue?

I just told the user what y’all have been saying. She said that she gets an
error message when she uses a right-click and “send to desktop (create
shortcut)”. The error message is something like “Cannot create shortcut. Your
disk may be full.” Would the “view→ show desktop icons” fix this?

One of my users got a Windows 7 Netbook and said it wouldn’t let her put any

netbook, if it makes any difference. I checked it out, and installed Vipre Home
on it for her, but other than that, I really didn’t do anything and I didn’t
try putting any shortcuts on the desktop.
