I should also state that the analog portion of this is something to research and spend well at. Bite the bullet and get a good ip gateway or a peripheral card based solution with a good hardware echo cancellor. You'll regret it otherwise. I just finished some neat stuff for some super computer illiterate people at one place, they use a fax service to email docs which proved far to bloody complicated for these dolts. I setup a few analog gateways, and used a script in freeswitch such that it see's the extensions for the fax machines and grabs the number dialed, then emails the decoded tif to their fax service with the dialed number as the alias.
