+1, but OP mentioned HOME workstation and I know techs that will open a case
where it sits, blow it out there, close it up and power it up.
Just figured I'd add my two cents worth about the vacuum after seeing that
multiple times.

I always take my boxes outside before blowing them out.  Saves from huge
clouds of dust in the computer room, which, as you mentioned, doesn't really
get us anywhere.

Use the air can to blow off the dust *while* you have a vacuum running near
by, otherwise all the dust will only become airborn and get drawn back into
the system after you power back up.
