They've (dell) always thrown in rebranded Avocent stuff when I've had to spec 
this stuff out. I guess maybe they resell other stuff?

Just make sure your vendor doesn't throw in something like the Tripp-Lite KVM 
console we're stuck with!  One of the 8 channels is dead.  It is painfully slow 
to switch windows.  The KB keys have a very short stroke.  The Shift key on the 
left is split, so half of it is some kind of Hot Key which does little but 
screw up your typing.  It has a touch pad which is not easily disabled, so a 
mis-placed thumb can "Enter" things.

Oh yeah, and I don't much care for it, either...

After 3 1/2 years, I still can't figure out why the company of a guy named 
"Michael" down in Texas would throw a Tripp-Lite item in an otherwise all-APC 
rack (unless they know I'm an OU fan)...
