I don't know if this can be done with SYSPREP images, but when I was working with Ghost years back, they had a utility that allowed you to "read and edit" the image itself, without having to recreate it.

This PC was created using the HP OEM copy of windows. Once I complete the setup I typically re-seal the PC with SYSPREP before I take the image. I have noticed that once I re-seal the PC with sysprep and boot up the computer that HP launches a bunch of scripts that kills some of my settings that I need on my image. Does anyone have any idea where these scripts are coming from. I'd like to kill these scripts instead of spending the next day re-creating the image.
