Yeah. My search was "Low-Profile Ethernet" or something similarly hyphenated.
Amazing how different, but very similar searches can come up with different
options. :)

FWIW I just did a search for NIC low profile. ;-)

FWIW, I went ahead and ordered that Intel NIC. That should work just fine. :)

Great! Thanks. I searched on NewEgg, but couldn't find any "name brand" that I
recognized in the manufacturers. I didn't think to check the chipset. :)

Most likely the motherboard NIC was a broadcom or realtek which is probably
whats on those non "name brands". However I did find an Intel one at newegg for
you. Item# N82E16833106122

I need to put a low-profile NIC to replace the on-board NIC that has gone out
on one of our Dell Optiplex GX520 machines. Wondering what you guys recommend?
I tried to just put an extra NIC that we have lying around in the system, but
discovered that it's too tall. :( Any favorite brand? Unfortunately, may
favorite place (NewEgg) only carries a handful of low-profile NICs and none of
them are "name brand." :(
