Office 2000 couldn't edit images correctly without admin rights, unless you manually granted permissions on a registry branch under HKLM. There was also some other stupid thing like that that I've forgotten the details on. I don't think I ever hit a problem with Outlook, though. (The interesting part is that the Win 2000 Logo program required the ability to run without admin rights, and Office 2000 carried the Win 2000 Logo.
