That's a major bummer. I've found it's more expensive than Microsoft's CM
(who can match Microsoft's great non-profit/charity pricing anyway?), but
the savings is more than made up for it in man-hours. If it's not too late,
I can send you e-mails from KBOX customers that responded to my inquiries
before my purchase. Let me know off-line.

Just received word on Friday that we will not be getting the kbox.
Not a happy camper. They had even dropped down to more or less half price.
But the IT manager still wouldn't sign off on it.

Just 1 more reason to take the redundancy and get out of here.

Old thread, I know. I purchased a KBOX a few weeks ago; it is replacing
Microsoft Configuration Manager here.

Yes, you can customize installs. Just use your install builder/packager
like you would otherwise. Or you can use scripting for that.

It's very easy to use. I like patching, too. It includes MS updates, Abode
updates, and some A/V vendor updates.

Now that Dell owns it I expect Dell to put some serious $$$ dollars into it,
and it will just get better.

Discussion warranted, I presume.

Can you customise software installs? In particular, I'd like to
customise FF and Adobe Reader installs - turn of javascript in Reader,
and add in NTLM auth and a few other things that we do manually here
with FF.
