All: There is a microsoft website that allows you to determine whether or not any of their technologies is supported on several platforms, one being ESX. I can't find the site for the life of me this morning and my Google-Fu is failing me. I need to confirm whether SQL 2008 is supported under VMware Vsphere 4 U1. I remember using the website to determine if Exchange 2010 was supported, which it was.
