I can back up the GoPro camera. It takes amazing quality video for a relatively low price. The camera comes with several different mounting options, including a head lamp style strap and a chest strap. It has a waterproof case. It'll shoot in high-def and also has a snapshot mode where it will just continually snap stills. The stabilization software it uses is also quite incredible. I recently took the family on an ATV trip and had the camera mounted to one of the 4 wheelers. The video was hardly jittery at all. I also use it all winter long as a helmet cam or mounted to my snowmobile.
The only negative aspect is the battery generally only lasts around 2 - 2.5 hours if recording high def. Although carrying another battery would be trivial. - Sean On Tue, Jul 6, 2010 at 12:35 PM, Andy Shook <[email protected]> wrote: > …Speaking of funky camera usages. > > > > <thread hijack> > > > > I’m looking for a personal video recorder that can accept a remote lens > that clip onto a hat bill or some flavor of hear\ear clip mount WITH a > remote start\stop record button that I can use to film hunting trips but I’m > not finding solutions that are both small and not expensive. > > > > I’m thinking something the size of a Flip video thingy that I can Velcro > the button to my jacket and the lens sits on my hat bill.
