I'll second the suggestion of calling Dell support. It's "free", and better to have expert hand-holding in a case like this. That said: The PERC RAID controllers stores a copy of the configuration in NVRAM and on disk. When you put a disk set on a new controller, you have to choose which configuration to use. That configuration will be used, overwriting all other configuration storage locations.
