I think managing roaming profiles in a typical desktop environment can be
fairly easy as long as you've configured the proper folder redirection.
However, I would caution your use of PSTs on a network share, especially
since it doesn't appear you've had to deal with that so far.

Roaming profiles in a terminal services or Citrix environment is an entirely
different beast all together. Especially if you have different application
silos. That is where you run into frequent profile corruption or other
odd issues due to last write win scenarios. Solutions such as Citrix Profile
Manager or AppSense help mitigate those issues.
