We used the MultiTech FaxFinder years ago and have since stopped using it. It's an ok system to use for really small orgs. and is simple to use, but not as robust. We use ZetaFax which will allow us to receive faxes and setup an automated forward to either a software client or email. At the moment we don't have the email portion setup.
Also, ZetaFax works with Brooktrout boards, as we have two 4 port boards installed into a Windows Server 2003 box. ____________________________ Cameron Cooper Network Administrator | CompTIA A+ Certified Aurico Reports, Inc Phone: 847-890-4021 | Fax: 847-255-1896 [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> | www.aurico.com From: N Parr [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, July 20, 2010 9:04 AM To: NT System Admin Issues Subject: RE: Looking for fax appliance Is your PBX an option? ________________________________ From: Tom Miller [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, July 20, 2010 8:52 AM To: NT System Admin Issues Subject: Looking for fax appliance Hi Folks, I'm looking for a fax appliance that receives faxes and forwards those to the e-mail address assigned to the DID. Format should be PDF. The system does not have to be fancy. Basic storage for a day or two, perhaps allow outbound faxing as well. We have one program that gets about 1,000 sheets of fax a week, a bunch of nomadic staff with no regular access to fax machines, and also billing staff who could us this. In total probably something with 8 ports to start but expandable. I'm looking at the following: Multitech fax finder Ringdate fax receiver. Anyone have any to suggest or comment on the above? I could also build a server if there are any Windows solutions (I have a Brooktrout card here).
