Based on your previous thread, my guess would be that the dev didn’t put that malware there (trying to give the guy the benefit of the doubt) and that there's a hole like a php mod open on the server.
If you have an outside dev doing the work and maintaining the server, hire an outside firm to periodically check it for security issues including holes, attach surfaces, patches, etc. -----Original Message----- From: techconnect [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, August 25, 2010 2:43 PM To: NT System Admin Issues Subject: RE: Javacode Help again It's a small site relying on the webmaster he said he virus scanned it and came up with nothing. We had to do the digging and found the malware code. Here's some site specifics Server Type: Apache/2.2.16 (CentOS) mod_ssl/2.2.16 0.9.8l DAV/2 mod_fcgid/2.3.5 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635. Just want to make sure security is good and was curious what tools you would use to verify that. webtools or otherwise. Thanks for your time also I could not find a suitable forum for this and thought this one would be the most helpful Thanks, Jason ~ Finally, powerful endpoint security that ISN'T a resource hog! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Business/VIPRE-Enterprise/> ~ ~ Finally, powerful endpoint security that ISN'T a resource hog! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Business/VIPRE-Enterprise/> ~
