What do you mean? All of our agents are deployed via MSI.

I know a reboot is needed, but I want to control it, as the script I'm writing
has other things to run before I initiate a reboot. Windows XP too.

If you deploy with an MSI do you get what you need? It definitely doesn't help
now, but it might going forward.

Hi Folks,
For those of you using Vipre, any of you have an unattended/silent agent
uninstall? I need to remove it from a number of our laptops. Normally I'd look
in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{GUID} for an
uninstall string. I found the GUID and there is no uninstall method listed. I
sent a message to Sunbelt Support and the response was:
If you have not already stopped it stop the agent service. Delete the following
keys they can very depending on Operating system and if you have 32bit or 64bit.

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\116445D9734F351419E319EC305638CC
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SBAMSvc
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sunbelt Software\Sunbelt Enterprise Agent
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\SBAMSvc
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\sbaphd
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\sbapifs
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\SBHIPS
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\SBPIMSvc
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\SBRE
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\sbtis
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{9D544611-F437-4153-913E-91CE036583CC}
Reboot the computer and delete the following folders.

X86 folders
C:\Program Files\Sunbelt Software\SBEAgent
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Sunbelt

Note for Vista: documents and setting have been replaced by Users and there
will be two folders in Vista
C:\Users\All Users\Sunbelt
C:\Users\All Users\Sunbelt Software
That's nice that I now have instructions and I scan write a script to that. But
it sort of sucks that there is no uninstall I can call with msiexec. Or does
anyone else have a different method?
