Very interesting, never heard of that before.

  Nope.

He mans this or its equivalent:

Using a can of compressed air upside down can actually damage electronic
components, depending on the chemicals contained in the can. Legitimate freeze
sprays are designed specifically for electronics troubleshooting and will not
damage the plastics, composites, or cause corrosion/oxidation.

You mean like turning a can of compressed air upside down and spraying the
board?

Electronics commonly have thermal problems. There's been many a time I've
troubleshot motherboards with a can of freeze spray.

It was great. I left it in the freezer the whole time (with the extention
running out between the gasket. The colder it got, the longer between
"failures" I had.

With out the cold, the drive immeadiately fails. I owe whomever figured out
the freezer trick big time...

I like the ingenuity of the extention cords J

I'd never heard of anyone doing it before, but it just let me get the data
off of mine (albeit in many ~10 second incriments).

    Viva la flexible ice packs...

    Viva la USB extentions cords...

    Viva la robocopy...

    That is all.
